The Alan Hartzler Community Fund presented a check for $1,500 to the Sidney Junior High basketball program to help with funding for new uniforms. Alan was a lifetime Sidney resident with a passion for coaching youth sports. The fund was established after his passing in 2019 to build a basketball court in the Sidney Park and to support future community needs. Micki Hartzler presented the check to Bryan Schoening, Sidney Middle School Basketball Coordinator and Head 8th grade coach. Bryan was coached by Alan in basketball and baseball.
