Leyton High School held its commencement ceremony for the Class of 2022 Saturday afternoon. The event was well attended by family and friends of the graduates, highlighted by speeches form the graduates, school officials and Board of Education members. Salutatorian Johnathan Borges and co-Valedictorians Cortney Holt and Ethan Eckhardt all gave speeches touching on the memories they will always cherish from their schooling years while encouraging the graduates to make their own futures and to strive for excellence. A slideshow was presented showing each of the graduates from early childhood to their high school years, and was followed by the presentation of scholarships. The scholarship monies totaled $160,400 for the graduates pursuing advanced education.
