Lady Storm Struggle On The Road

Creek Valley's Lady Storm Volleyball team opened their season on the road with a triangular against Sutherland and Perkins County on Thursday, then traveled to Harrison on Friday to match up against the Sioux County Lady Warriors. The Lady Storm did not have much success, and dropped all three matches over the two-day span.

On Thursday, Creek Valley matched up against the Lady Sailors, and dropped the first set 25-to-14. The Lady Storm was able to make some adjustments in the second set and stay closer, but still fell by a final of 25-to-20 for a 2-to-0 loss. The Lady Storm then matched up against Perkins County, and battled hard in the first set before falling 25-to-23. The Lady Storm then played a very good second set, and were able to hold on for the 25-to-20 victory. The third set was very competitive and the Lady Storm stayed close until Perkins County was able to string together points at the end of the set and too the set 25-to-23 for a 2-to-1 victory.

On Friday, Creek Valley matched up with Sioux County, and fought hard to open the match. The teams matched points at the end of the set until Creek Valley was able to get to points in a row and took the first set, 28-to-26. The second set was another close affair, with Perkins County surging at the end to take a 26-to-24 win. Perkins County then went on to take the last two sets 25-to-20 and 25-to-17 for the 3-to-1 match victory.

Creek Valley next travels to Minatare on Thursday to match up against the Lady Indians.
