Lodgepole Library receives donation of 100 books; Celebrates with Open House on April 1st

Nancy Fawcett Memorial Library in Lodgepole received a gift of 100 new children's books, ranging from pre-k through early readers. The library was one of 100 chosen to receive this gift in 2023.

The library looks to excite and foster an early interest in and love for books and reading. Books can enrich a child's life, and they want to give this experience and pleasure to young children; These books were chosen with enjoyment, fantasy, and fun in mind.

The books were a donation from the Brownstone Book Fund, a private foundation in New York City, interested in fostering early childhood reading, a love of books, and encouraging children and parents to read together. They welcome the entire community to come and explore and enjoy their new collection.

They will be having an Open House on Saturday, April 1st from 10 am until noon. There will be games and refreshments for everyone to enjoy.
