City of Sidney warns of 'online survey' scam
City-sanctioned surveys are not being conducted at this time

Above is an example of the message that has reported. It has been confirmed that this is not a legitimate request for information and the City strongly discourages anyone from clicking on a survey link, or responding to a message or request for information regarding a survey.
SIDNEY – The City of Sidney wanted to inform residents that the city is not conducting any survey of its residents at this time, despite what social media posts might indicate.
According to a statement from the City of Sidney Manager's office, "We believe this to be a scam."
Adding, "We would not ask for personal information in a survey form."
"If you receive this message, please do not respond," the city wrote. "We thank the resident who brought this to our attention."
The city is looking into this suspicious online survey and did not have additional information at this time.
