The City of Sidney is now accepting bids to repair the bridge at 1115 13th Avenue in Sidney that was damaged after a one-vehicle accident on August 22, 2023.
On Wednesday, August 22, 2023 a female resident of Sidney was involved in a tragic one-vehicle accident when her 2010 Ford F-150 Super Cab Pick-Up collided with the 13th Avenue bridge railing.
The vehicle had been driving westbound on Hickory Street when the driver suffered some type of medical emergency which caused her to lose consciousness and drive directly into the bridge railing at the top of the 13th Avenue underpass that heads to the North Side of Sidney.
