Delta Dawn When the Light Comes On: Week 47

"He who has ears to hear, let him hear." Matthew 15:11 This is written because some remember, children did not listen, grandchildren became disoriented, and great-grandchildren have taken the wrong road. Evil is determined, to overcome good and God. We, the People, have come into a national wonder land.

Who, what, when and where is the road to God's signs, wonders and miracles? Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's 1939 movie "The Wizard of OZ" exposes a pilgrim's progress in this world. The rainbow says bluebirds fly fear free and so can we!

"OZ" is used some 100 times in Scripture depicting strength, power, security, a verb, meaning "to be joyful, firm and strong." Strongs Concordance #5797. King David displayed OZ in whirling, dancing and singing as he escorted the Ark of the Covenant into the city of David. 2 Samuel 6:16,17. Emerald green represents fresh, new!

Dorothy means "Gift of God" in Greek. She is We, the People. Her pinafore shows youth and innocence. A believer, she is trusting, caring, easily led and obedient. Her character patterns Mary, the mother of Jesus. On her feet are shoes, the sign of royal sons and land ownership. Abraham walked the land God, now Isarel, willed to generations of Jews. Glistening ruby red slippers represent the living Blood of Jesus and Gospel of Peace. We're off on the journey of Man, where good spirits and bad spirits swirl about, effecting how humans act and react to them.

Toto, Dorothy's Scotty dog, reflects Holy Spirit, Who is with us always. 'T' is the final letter of the Hebrew alephbet, Tov. A symbol of the Calvary covenant cross. Jesus says, "I AM the Aleph and Tov" or 'beginning and end'" Revelation 22:13.

Glinda, the Good Witch, watches over Dorothy and all she undertakes, just as Father God watches over and directs the path (derek) of all of God's children.

East and west wicked witches pedal lies on bicycles of deception and destruction, then, on a broom which swishes lies to fly wherever, and on whomever, they will rest. Flying monkeys are fanciful, tormenting thoughts defeated by praise songs.

Scarecrow is a fear filled, unstable society. Adam was given dominion, seed, a choice and a voice. Given the assignment to keep God's creation, he did not use the authority his brain was equipped for. Society, today, acts as straw driven by winds (voices) of doctrine, resulting in double minded and unstable ways.

Tin Man is less than a well-oiled industry and sound corporate savvy. Unions do not consider people a resource, as joints to supply agility and ability. No heart of compassion freezes the work force in antiquated labor practices. OR eliminates workers as they close much needed businesses.

Cowardly Lion echoes the Church. He calls out. No one listens. Holy Spirit Presence, (Toto) collapses his courage. Remember Saul of Tarsus, on the road to Damascus? Jesus is not willing that His Church, within us, be persecuted!

"When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the Rock that is higher than I." Psalm 61:2
