The City of Sidney declared in a social media post on Friday, December 6th that new measures would be put in place to regulate the geese population in Legion Park around the pond. The City stated in the post that the Sidney Parks Department would be taking action beginning the week of December 16th; the use of handheld pyrotechnics will be initiated to combat the extensive number of geese populating the pond area.
