SIDNEY--On Tuesday, December 3, 2024, West Elementary held its annual Spelling Bee to determine who would move on to the County Spelling Bee early next year. The Spelling Bee is always a competitive event, and this year 26 spellers entered the contest in hopes of moving on to the next level of competition.
Many of the spellers cruised through the first few rounds, with some dropping off after getting a few tricky words incorrect. By the sixth round of the competition, there were only five spellers left. All five of the spellers will be advancing to the County bee...
