Red Raiders fall in close contests to North Platte, Ogallala

The Sidney Red Raiders volleyball team competed in the North Platte Tri on Aug. 31, falling twice to strong competition.

Coach Lu Howard said the event included several good teams. Sidney lost to North Platte 18-25, 20-25, then to Ogallala in another close match: 21-25 and 17-25.

Sidney recorded 17 kills against North Platte as a team with junior Peyton Jung leading the effort with eight of her own, followed by sophomore Mattie Johnson.
