  • Hawks hold off Leyton

    Despite a strong second half, Leyton’s girls squad fell short at the home of the Hay Springs Hawks, 36-31, in a non-district matchup on Saturday. The Warriors, who returned to the court for the first time since Dec. 21, saw their record slip to 3-5 on the year. Leyton remains strong in the district, however, with a 2-0 mark. Leyton’s scoring was spread out over eight players with Katy Ernest leading the way by tacking up 7 points.
