Antelope Valley Pheasants Forever Scholarship

The Antelope Valley Pheasants Forever Chapter is pleased to announce their 2013 scholarship.

They will award a $500 scholarship annually. The scholarship is available to graduating seniors from Garden County High School in Oshkosh and Creek Valley High School in Chappell. Payment of the scholarship will be made upon receipt of proof of registration to a post-secondary school of the recipient’s choice.

Submit the application to, Antelope Valley Pheasants Forever, P.O. Box 313, Oshkosh, NE 69154.

Applications can be obtained from Kathy Ford, Guidance Counselor at Creek Valley High School. Information and application (in Word format) is now available at the Counselor’s Corner on the Creek Valley Storm site; http://creekvalleystorm.com/. Whitley Ann Peterson Memorial Scholarship

The family of Whitley Peterson has announced a new scholarship in memory of Whitley, The Whitley Ann Peterson Memorial Scholarship.

This scholarship will be awarded to a Creek Valley student who has been nominated by a peer, a community member or a teacher. The postmark deadline is April 22, 2013. Information concerning the Whitley Ann Peterson Memorial Scholarship is posted on the Counselor’s Corner located on the Creek Valley Storm Site; http://creekvalleystorm.com/.

Criteria:

*Must be a senior at Creek Valley High School

*Must plan to further their education by attending a Junior College, University, Tech School, etc.

Nomination Criteria:

*Whitley Peterson was a very outgoing, caring and loving person. She truly loved children and showed that every day. She was always known in the community for her smile and her laughter. It is our desire to award this scholarship to a senior who demonstrates these characteristics and the spirit that Whitley portrayed. If you know of a senior that loves children, is positive, an encouraging teammate, student or a friend to everyone, please consider nominating him or her for this award. To nominate a student please submit a one-page essay stating why you feel this individual deserves to be granted this scholarship.

Golden Fleece Lodge #205 Scholarship

The Golden Fleece Lodge #205 has announced the deadline for their scholarship, April 2, 2013.

Applications can be obtained from Kathy Ford, Guidance Counselor at Creek Valley High School. Students may also assess the application at The Counselor’s Corner located on the Creek Valley Storm site at http://creekvalleystorm.com/.

The recipient of this scholarship will be announced during the Creek Valley High School Commencement. This scholarship is awarded without regard to sex, race, religion, national or ethnic origin.
