Girl Scout cookie program wraps up March 24

OMAHA – It’s time to stock up on Thin Mints, Caramel deLites, Peanut Butter Patties and all your favorite cookies. The 2013 Girl Scout Cookie Program will officially conclude on Sunday, March 24.

There are still hundreds of Girl Scout Cookie Booths scheduled throughout the state. To find the Cookie Booths nearest you, visit the Cookie Booth Locator on our website, girlscoutsnebraska.org. Using your zip code, search for cookies in your area! Can’t find one? Send us an email and we will have a Girl Scout leader contact you to take your order.

The Girl Scout Cookie Program is the largest girl-led business in the world. While participating in the Cookie Program, girls develop five essential skills: goal setting; decision making; money management; people skills; and business ethics. The Cookie Program is also the primary source of funding for Girl Scout troop activities throughout the year, such as community service projects, environmental programs, camping adventures, field trips and travel to destinations domestically and internationally. All proceeds from the Spirit of Nebraska Girl Scout Cookie Product Program remain in Nebraska.

The 2013 Girl Scout Cookie lineup includes: Thin Mints, Shortbread, Peanut Butter Sandwich, Peanut Butter Patties®, Caramel deLites®, Thanks-A-Lot™, Lemonades™ and the new Mango Cremes!™. They all freeze well!

After March 24, Girl Scout Cookies will not return until 2014.
