Vicki A. O’Bannion, 62, of Chappell, and longtime Dallas resident, passed away at the Northern Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Colo., Thursday, March 14, 2013.

Informal memorial services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 16, in the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel in Sidney. Inurnment will be in the Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas at a later date.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.

Gehrig-Stitt Chapel & Cremation Service, LLC is in charge of Vicki’s care and funeral arrangements.

Vicki Ann O’Bannion, the daughter of William Neil and Conise Elizabeth (Bachelder) O’Bannion, was born on July 18, 1950, at Waxahachie, Texas. Following graduation from W.W. Samuel High School, she attended Julliard School of Art and Brookhaven Community College. Vicki worked at several different jobs before retiring in the Dallas area and recently moved to Chappell to be near family.

Vicki loved helping people, was an accomplished pianist, gifted singer and enjoyed collecting angels.

Survivors include three sons, Chris O’Bannion of Fairbanks, Ark., Matt O’Bannion and wife Hillery of Chappell, and Justin Aplin of Dallas; close family friend, Luis Torres of Dallas; two brothers, Lowell O’Bannion and Neal O’Bannion both of Dallas; three grandchildren, Tanner and Ty O’Bannion of Atoka, Okla., and Pursephone O’Bannion of Fairbanks, Ark .; and numerous extended family members and friends.

Vicki was preceded in death by her father, William O’Bannion; her mother, Conise Bachelder; and step-father, John Bachelder.
