School to break for state basketball

Sidney's schools will be dismissed at 2 p.m. on Wednesday March 5 and will not be in session on Thursday and Friday.  

The closure allows students, faculty and staff to support the Red Raiders basketball team in this year's state tournament in Lincoln.

Sidney opens tournament play at 9 a.m. Central Time on Thursday at the Pinnacle Sports Arena.  

Sidney's Cool Kids Club will be open both Thursday and Friday in order to serve students.
