Cheyenne County receives dividend check

Cheyenne County received a $9,480 dividend check from the Nebraska Intergovernmental Risk Management Association, the county's insurance provider. LINCOLN – Cheyenne County received a membership dividend of $9,480 from the Nebraska Intergovernmental Risk Management Association (NIRMA), the county's property, liability and workers' compensation coverage provider.

The dividend was part of a $600,000 financial return distributed among 78 Nebraska counties and six regional area agencies on aging during NIRMA's annual conference in Kearney earlier this month.

With this dividend, Cheyenne County has now received $303,559 in financial returns since becoming a member of NIRMA in 1988. NIRMA issues dividends from funds no longer needed for t...
