Aging Office seeks food, monetary donations for meal program

The Aging Office of Western Nebraska, a 503(b) nonprofit agency created by a the 11 Panhandle counties, administers a noon meal program throughout the area,

Twenty site locations provide congregate and/or home-delivered meals to seniors older than 60. The meals are prepared to meet one-third of the daily recommended dietary needs.

Some seniors receive receive meals that are paid under Medicaid. For those without Medicaid, a contribution is requested to help defer costs.
