Kindergarten registration for Leyton Public Schools for the 2015-’16 school year will take place Friday, April 24 from 9-11 a.m. Children must turn 5 on or before July 31, 2015. Call (308) 884-2247 to schedule an appointment.

Pair-N-Half-a Pair Square Dance Club will have Pie Social and Trails In Dance at the IOOF Hall in Gering. Callers will be Dave Guille & Lucky Kochenower, and cuers are The Sperrys. Dance will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, April 24.

The “Colorful Peetz Fun Run” will be held Saturday, April 25 at 9 a.m. Options for a 5K or 1-mile route. The cost is $25 for adults, $15 for ages 5-17 and free for 0-4 year olds. Registration at and search for Peetz.
