NWU choir to make Wednesday stop in Sidney

The Nebraska Wesleyan University choir’s three-state tour will make a stop next week in Sidney.

Their performance will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church, located at 2622 11th Avenue.

The three-state tour began Jan. 6 in Fremont, then wound its way to Colorado and New Mexico. The tour ends Jan. 17 in Lincoln.

The choir is a 46-voice ensemble and more than half of its members are music majors. The choir has toured internationally nine times since 1977 and tours annually throughout the U.S.

William A. Wyman has conducted the NWU choir for 41 years, and Tamara Riley Wyman serves as its pianist.
