Leyton boys, Potter girls win D-11 titles

MORRILL – Martin Boyer and Jacob Ernest let the Leyton boys to the Class D District-11 track title here Wednesday, showing promise for a good Warrior showing when they travel to the Class D state meet, which begins Friday and Saturday, May 20 and 21 at Burke Stadium in Omaha.

Boyer's attack came mainly on the track, where he raced to first pace in both the 100 and 200 meters, then joined teammates Kenny Ernest, Zach Hellie and Kordell Maestes to take the gold on the 4x100 Relay. Boyer added the long jump title, outdistancing the field with a 19-foot, 7...
