Sidney to host district court workshops

The bags are filled with goods from Sidney businesses and other donors who responded to help show Sidney's hospitality.

District Court clerks from across the state begin arriving in Sidney this evening, preparing for one of two annual workshops providing educational and networking opportunities to make their jobs go smoother.

This spring, clerks are guests of Deb Hume, clerk of the Cheyenne County District Court and current president of the Nebraska Clerks of the District Court Association. As association president, Hume said she had the option of hosting one of the annual meetings.

"I wanted to have them come out here and see what we have to offer (in western Nebraska)," Hume said of choosing to host a meet...
