BHE holds "Improving Life Day"

Black Hills Energy (BHE) crews gave back to their communities this week with their "Improving Life Day," taking time to give back to the communities they serve.

This week BHE travelled to 30 communities across the state of Nebraska to donate 110 home appliances, valued at $88,000, to non-profits whose mission includes helping others.

"This event demonstrates our mission of 'Improving Life With Energy' by taking time to give back to the communities we serve," said Jeff Sylvester, vice president of Black Hills Energy's Nebraska natural gas operations. "As the year comes to an end, we thought this would be a nice way for our crews to reach out and engage with the communities we serve and our employees and their families live, work and play."

Cheyenne County Veterans Service Officer, Ron Gusman, was at the Sidney BHE office Wednesday to accept the BHE appliance donation on behalf of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) of Sidney. The appliance will be donated to a local Veteran by the DAV.
