Elected Chair was Bill Halligan with Tim Maas elected Vice-Chair; Jim Johnson was elected as Secretary. Keith Rexroth, former Board Chair and a member of the Board for 24 years resigned from the Board due to health reasons. The District is looking to fill Rexroth's vacancy for Subdistrict #5 which covers roughly the area east of Highway 19 and south of Highway 30 between Sidney and the Cheyenne/Deuel county line and the Nebraska/Colorado state lines. Any interested persons should contact the District offices by 5 p.m. February 3.

A presentation was given by Holly Griesemer and David Thomson from the Rivers, Trails and Conservation Assistance (RTCA) Program regarding possible upgrades at Oliver Reservoir Recreation Area. The RTCA, part of the National Park Service, offers support and assistance by connecting communities wanting to enhance trails, rivers, and parks with community groups, nonprofits, and state and local governments to help with the design and construction. For Oliver Reservoir, RTCA is tasked with creating a comprehensive plan to use the recreation space effectively for camping, fishing, and walking trails.
