Creek Valley Middle School students to move to Chappell

CHAPPELL - Creek Valley Middle School students will be attending classes in Chappell starting in August.

Following a decision of the Creek Valley School District school board Monday, Creek Valley Middle School’s fifth and sixth grade students will be attending Creek Valley Elementary School and its seventh and eighth grade students will be attending Creek Valley High School, both in Chappell.

The decision was approved 5-1, with Board Member Marty Savely dissenting, and will take effect with the end of the 2016-2017 school year in May.

Ron Howard, CVSD superintendent, said he approves of the decision.

“I feel that was what was best for our kids and for the entire school district,” he said.

The move will allow the school district to save needed funds, Howard said.
