Temperatures are expected to soar well above average and heat advisories and excessive heat watches are in effect in several areas of the state. Staying cool, keeping hydrated, and moderating outdoor activities during hot weather can help Nebraskans decrease the potential for heat-related illness according to the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
