Sidney sophomore MJ Johnstone won the Pole Vault competition at the Western Conference Championships on Saturday.
The Red Raider Track and Field teams dominated the competition at the Western Conference Championships, with both the boy's and girl's squads taking first place honors at the end of the day. The boy's squad topped second place Scottsbluff and the girl's squad beat second place Mitchell to take top honors.
For the boys, Sidney junior Cade Lewis placed first in the 100 meters and second in the 200 meters. Sophomore Skylar Heineman won the 400 meters and sophomore Benjamin Bashtovoi placed second in the 800 meters. Junior Collin Brauer placed second in the 3200 meters while senior Jonathan Smith...
