Local pool players were recently recognized for winning the Spring Session of the American Poolplayers Association (APA) 8-Ball and 9-Ball Pool Leagues.
Winning the Tuesday 8-Ball title was “Bipoolers” from Silver Dollar in Sidney including Brandon Bondegard, Amy Bondegard, Terry Klinetobe, Cheri Long, Lorie Rowley, Ann McElroy, Marty Couch and Kevin Burton.
Tuesday 8-Ball League MVP awards went to Emily Jarvi, Bob Jones and Corey Wintholz.
The Thursday 9-Ball championship went to “Mudslingers” from Silver Dollar in Sidney including Brandon Bondegard, Terry Klinetobe, Amy Bondegard, Jimmie Bondegard, Lorie Rowley, Cheri Long, Marty Couch and Kevin Burton.
Thursday 9-Ball MVP awards went to Glenn Morrison, Bob Jones and Scott Padilla.
Winning teams each session advance to the Western Nebraska APA World Qualifiers to compete for trips to the APA World Pool Championships in Las Vegas.
A new session of the APA Pool League starts in September. Teams have until Friday, August 24th to register.
