Denver & District Pipe Band and Dancers, which officially changes its name to "Sidney" & District Pipe Band will be among the performers highlighted at the Sidney Oktoberfest this weekend. The annual event, in its 44th year, has become one of Sidney's favorite celebrations.
Plan to attend this year's Oktoberfest in Sidney scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 5-7 at the Cheyenne County Fairgrounds.
Oktoberfest starts Friday morning with the Oktoberfest market opening at 9 a.m. at the fairgrounds pavilion. The market will offer fresh produce, home based businesses, novelties and much more. The market will be open until 7 p.m.
The crafts fair will be open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. indoors and outdoors at the fairgrounds. The Opening Ceremony takes place at noon with a dedication.
