Free Autism Spectrum Disorder Response Training Sept. 21

One out of 50 children are diagnosed with autism; boys are four times more likely to be diagnosed than girls. Auggie's Hope is focused on bringing advocacy to medical personnel, first responders and the public in all 50 states.
A free Autism Spectrum Disorder Response Training will be held at Sidney High School Saturday, Sept. 21. The First Responder session is 9 a.m. to noon and the Public Session is 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Auggie's Bag will be offered free of charge to the first 30 agencies who register. Auggie's Bag is designed as an aid for an autistic person in crisis. The items in the bag are designed to override negative sensations with positive sensations, calming meltdowns and soothing anxiety. The contents of the bag can also be helpful for people with Dementia / Alzheimers, PTSD, Anxiety and Panic Disorder.
