Emma Buss - Obituary

Emma Buss, 92, of Rapid City, formerly of Lodgepole, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 in Rapid City South Dakota.

Graveside services will be held at Pleasant View Cemetery in Lodgepole, NE on Saturday, October 12th at 11:00 a.m.

Memorials can be made to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Lodgepole. Emma and George spent countless enjoyable hours over the years at the church with family and friends.

Holechek-Bondegard Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

In Emma's early life she was a schoolteacher and taught in the Goodview community until marrying George Buss in August of 1959. To this marriage one daughter Deborah was born. Emma was active in the Lodgepole community until George's passing in October of 2005. At that time Emma moved to Rapid City to be closer to her Daughter and Son-in-law.

Emma was an accomplished artist and a wonderful cook. Her favorite place to be though was out working in her yard or in her beautiful flower gardens.

Emma is survived by her Daughter and Son-in law Deb and Tom Dugger of Rapid City, SD. Step Grandson, Christopher Dugger and Step Great Grandson Braedon Dugger of Rapid City. Sister Wanda and husband Caleb Payne of Gering, Ne. Sister-in law Elaine Buss of Omaha, NE and sister-in law Mary Jane Buss of Sidney, NE. Emma is also blessed to have many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Emma was preceded in death by her parents Arthur Lenz and Hazel Robinson Lenz. Her brother Arthur Lenz Jr. and sisters Nancy, Betty and Kathleen Lenz.
