Sidney Runners Compete in State Junior High Meet

Members of the Sidney Middle School Cross Country team pose for a team photo prior to leaving for Papillion and the Nebraska Junior High School State Cross Country Meet on Friday.

They took the long trip east Friday afternoon to Papillion, and got their chance to run on Saturday at the Nebraska State Junior High Cross Country Meet. For most of the team, it was their last time running the 3k course before they move to the 5k course in high school, and they made the most out of the experience. Sidney's Talissa Tanquary finished in 6th place overall and Jashawn Davenport finished 16th overall individually, while the boy's team placed 8th and the girl's team placed 9th.
