County Approves Archery Program

The Cheyenne County Commissioners Tuesday discussed a proposal for the 4-H program to hold its archery program at the Cheyenne County Fairgrounds.

In other business, the commissioners approved a Special Designated Liquor License for the Pheasants Forever annual banquet. The banquet will be held March 6 at the Cheyenne County Fairgrounds with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. Happy Hour starts at 5:30 p.m. with the dinner buffet at 7 p.m. A single membership and buffet is $50, membership/buffet and spouse $65, Ringneck membership/buffet is $15, bottomless beer mug $10 (ID must be present) and new this year is bottomless Mixed Drinks for $25 (ID must be present).

High Plains No. 278 Pheasants Forever will be celebrating “30 years with 30 guns” this year at the banquet. Tickets will be available at the door.

The commissioners also met with Lynn McKinney, Cheyenne County Extension Office, regarding use of the a building at the fairgrounds for 4-H archery. The request was approved.

The commissioners met with Economic Development Director Melissa Norgard Tuesday. Norgard updated the commissioners on economic development activities during the last few months.
