Leyton sophomore Cortney Holt battles for a rebound during the Lady Warriors' 51-31 victory over Creek Valley Friday night.
Leyton's Lady Warrior Basketball team hosted the struggling Creek Valley Lady Storm on Friday, and the visitors kept the score close in the first period, playing strong enough defense to keep close in the first half. After building a 21-to-14 lead to start the third period, the Lady Warriors started to pull away with senior Madelyn Watchorn taking over the game and putting the home team up 40-to-24 at the end of the third period. A strong finish secured the victory for the Lady Warriors by a final score of 51-to-31.
