Troy E. Bayne

Troy E. Bayne age 49, passed away July 6, 2020 in his home.

Troy Earl Bayne was born on December 29, 1970 to Harold Dean Bayne and Sharon Kay

(Onken) Bayne. Troy was born to this world through the love of Christ and his parents love for Christ.

As much as he loved the Lord, he also had a passion for sports. He competed in football, wrestling, and baseball, succeeding in all the sports that he participated. From a young age it was noticeable he would especially excel as a wrestler. He won multiple tournaments and district championships as a high school wrestler. He graduated from Sidney High School in 1989. Troy always had a smile on his face and cared for everyone. Troy loved being with his great nieces and nephews. He loved watching Nebraska Football and he would never miss a game.

Troy is survived by his brother, Tony Bayne and wife Dannette of Sidney, one sister Tanya Bayne of Sidney, one niece Kodi Schumacher and her husband Brad and their three children Jordan, Rhyder, and Auria of Sidney, three nephews, Bret Bayne and wife Jade and their child Memphis of Sidney, Blake Bayne of Sidney, Tyler Bonner and girlfriend Rachelle Carmin and their children Adrian and Lincoln Dean of Sidney.

Troy was preceded in death by his Grandparents Vera and Leonard Bayne, Minnie and

Armin Onken and his parents Sharon K. Bayne and Harold D. Bayne.

There will be a celebration of life for Troy at “The Rock” in Sidney, NE on Friday, August 7, 2020 beginning at 12:00 pm.  All friends and family are welcome to come join us in sharing memories, stories, and most of all laughs in honor of Troy. No formal services are planned at this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alan Hartzler Basketball Fundraiser, Platte Valley Bank, 901 10th Ave, Sidney, NE 69162 or the Mike Hartzler Memorial Fund, care of Steve Hartzler, 2759 Alvarado Road, Sidney, NE  69162.

Gehrig-Stitt Chapel & Cremation Service, LLC is in charge of Troy’s care.
