Table of Grace Surpasses Fundraising Goal

On Oct. 20, 2020, Bell Pole and Lumber issued a challenge to Table of Grace and its supporters.

The company offered to match gifts up to $30,000. Donations needed to be received by the end of December to be considered.

“We have surpassed our matching grant goal of $30,000 by almost $10,000,” said Sherri Eads, Table of Grace director, in a statement released Jan. 6.

The Table of Grace is an outreach program that helps families and individuals in need of food and home supplies. Table of Grace, as other organizations, was hit this year when it scheduled and fundraising event and then had to cancel it because of the coronavirus. The program was supported by donations received during the free Thanksgiving dinner at Brand New Items for a Great Deal and Coffee Shop. Donations were divided between The Ark ministry and Table of Grace.

The fundraising effort was supported by numerous businesses, churches and organizations. The Table of Grace also benefited from the Chamber of Commeerce Dress Down Day fundraiser.
