Mark Andersen

As Mark would say, “I am going to the happy hunting grounds.”

Mark Leroy Andersen passed away on May 6, 2021, in Cottonwood, Ariz., after a long battle with cancer.

Mark was born April 8, 1942 to Roy and Elizabeth (Goding) Andersen in Sidney, NE.

He grew up on a farm in Sidney Draw, went to the country school and then finished his school years at Lorenzo High School. He graduated 1960 as Valedictorian of his class. He attended Chadron State College and graduated from Arizona State University with a chemistry degree. Mark worked as a chemist for 35 years.

Mark loved to play golf and played golf in 48 states, Scotland, Alaska, Austria, Mexico and other foreign countries.

Mark loved wood and made many beautiful pieces of furniture plus a canoe and house boat.

Survivors include brother Gary (Beverly) of Scottsdale, AZ., sister Carl Jean (Kenneth) Grothe of Rapid City, S.D., one niece and three nephews.

Preceding him is his parents Roy and Elizabeth Andersen and nephew Troy Andersen.
