God’s word, the Bible, is the source for all that is truth; what does it tell us about Homosexuality?
Genesis !:27-28, God did not create homosexuality, men and women were meant to reproduce sexually (primary purpose for sex), 2 men cannot do this and neither can 2 women. Genesis 2:24, God’s design for marriage, one man and one woman becoming “one flesh”. Genesis 18:20-32, The sin of Sodom & Gomorrah was exceeding grave, the men were “wicked” and these cities were destroyed by God because of the sin of homosexuality (19:13 & 24). Genesis 19:5
The sin of the men was that they wanted to have sex with other men; Lot identifies this as “acting wickedly”. Judges 19:22-23, A similar story about men “acting wickedly” by wanting to have sex with other men. Leviticus 18:22; 20:13, God’s law against homosexuality; it is called an abomination, a detestable act, and punishable by death. 1 Kings 14:24; 15:12; 22:46; 2 Kings 23:7, Male prostitutes were identified with pagan worship and their sexual acts were bi-sexual.
Kings of Judah, who did right in the sight of God, got rid of these men and their influence on the nation of Judah. Romans 1:26-32, God gave them up to degrading passions, women exchanging natural (sexual) function for unnatural (lesbianism).
Men abandoned the natural function of the woman, burning in desire for one another (homosexuality).
These acts of men and women are described as indecent acts, not proper and those who do these things as having depraved minds, haters of God and worthy of death. 1 Corinthians 6:6-11; Galatians 5:19-21; Ephesians 5:5-7; 1 Timothy 1:9-10; Homosexuality is mentioned or implied in four lists of sins and those who practice these sins cannot inherit the kingdom of God because they are contrary to sound doctrine and the wrath of God will come upon these “sons of disobedience.” Matthew 10:15; Romans 9:29; 2 Peter 2:6; Jude 7; Revelation 11:8; Jesus, Peter, Paul, Jude and John all condemn the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah and use them as an example of ungodly behavior.
The Word of God and He, Himself, tells it like it is: Homosexuality is wrong, ungodly and an abomination.
