Sharon Oliverius, the daughter of Harry John and Martha Mary (Braasch) Segelke was born on January 23, 1945 at Sidney, NE. She grew up on the family farm in Peetz, CO attending elementary and High School at Peetz High School graduating in 1963. On June 3, 1993 Sharon was united in marriage to Henry “Lee” Oliverius at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Sidney. Sharon worked at Cedar Lanes, for many years. She also worked as a bookkeeper at Security 1st Bank for 15 years, then onto Sidney Public Schools for 21 where she retired.

Her love for bowling took her to many tournaments for many years making new friends as she went. She never knew a stranger. Arm problems caused her to give up bowling. Her “love” for the kids, she then found a new happiness in helping the AD’s in the SPS School system being a ticket taker at all sporting events. You had to make sure you didn’t call or visit her o that day, as she rushed you off the phone or out of the house. She jumped in where she was needed, she even helped the lunch program at West Elementary when they fell short. Raider sports and the kids were her life, I don’t think she missed a home game or listening to it on the radio. She was also very active in the Octoberfest for many years and still helped even after she retired. She was well known and will be remembered for her infectious smile and “laugh”. Share was truly loved by all.

Sharon is survived by her husband Lee, siblings Dick (significant other Elaine) Segelke of Sidney, NE and Nancy Hare of Canyon, TX, 94 year old Aunt Wilma Adams, sister-in-law’s Betty Erickson of Sidney, Patsy Segelke in Peetz, CO, Kathy (Bill) Moore, Liz (John) Beyer of Sidney, and Mary (Mert) Miller from Gurley, NE. Stepson Tim Oliverius, stepdaughter Gina Elgert, and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, sister Dorothy Schnell, 4 brothers Harold, Arlo, Bill and Larry, along with 2 nephews Tim Schnell and Bryon Segelke.
