Creek Valley Storm Stumbles Against Paxton 54-18

Creek Valley's Storm Football team hosted the Paxton Tigers on Friday, looking for their first win of the new season, but were outmatched by a Paxton team that started strong and never faltered through the contest.

Paxton opened the scoring with 13 points in the first period. Creek Valley finally got their offense moving in the second quarter, and were able to score two touchdowns for 12 points, but the Tigers scored another 13 points in the second quarter to maintain their lead.

The second half had the Tigers scoring 14 points in the third and fourth quarters, while the Storm was only able to manage one touchdown in the third quarter, ending the game with a 54-to-18 score and the Storm's second loss of the season. The Tiger's were led by sophomore Gunnar Foster, who scored five touchdowns and ran for 302 yards on 13 carries. Senior quarterback Caden Holm complete three passes on four attempts for 82 yards and a touchdown.

The Storm Football team travels to Harrison on Friday to match up against the Sioux County Warriors, who are at 0-and-1 after losing to Potter-Dix 62-to-8 in their season opener.
