Dalton Fall Festival Set for Sept. 17-19

Parade Theme: Times to be Cherished

The community of Dalton will have its Fall Festival this weekend, Sept. 17-19.

The Dalton Fall Festival is scheduled in coordination with the Leyton High School Homecoming events.

Activities start Friday with a Potato Bar at the American Legion from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.. The Leyton Varsity and Junior Varsity volleyball teams will be hosting Hyannis starting at 4 p.m.

The Homecoming football game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.

Saturday’s events start early with the Cancer Walk at 8 a.m. at the Leyton High School (LHS) Track Field. Also at 8 a.m., the Senior Citizens will be offering coffee and rolls at Leyton High School. Donations are accepted.

The Crafts Fair begins at 10 a.m. at Legion Hall.

The parade is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.

A Mexican food meal, pie and ice cream and concessions will be available at LHS between noon and 2 p.m.

A horseshoe tournament is scheduled for noon to 5 p.m. at the Water Tower.

Kids activities and Karaoke will be at Legion Park between 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Dozer Games will be at Legion Park between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., and a free will BBQ will be served at Legion Park between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., followed by a dance at Big Vi’s with Victory Underground from 8:30 p.m. to midnight.

Sunday starts a little later with the Community Gathering at LHS from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Boy Scout Troupe 92 will host a Pancake Feed at LHDS from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The day concludes with the Dalton Volunteer Fire Department Feed, with a good will donation, at the Dalton Fire Hall from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
