Potter-Dix's Coyote Football team finished out their regular season with an 80-to-16 rout over Creek Valley, earning their second straight D6-6 Title and undefeated regular season.
The Coyotes' swarming defense held Creek Valley to -27 yards rushing while forcing four turnovers.
The Creek Valley Storm, fresh from an inspirational win over South Platte last week, simply did not have the manpower to keep up with Potter-Dix, as they only dressed nine players for the game.
The Coyotes again scored early and often, with their powerful offense generating 411 yards in the rout. One of the few bright spots for Creek Valley was senior Eli Schmid's 75 yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
On the first play from scrimmage, it was clear how this contest would go as Potter-Dix junior Luke Kasten caught a pass and ran it 40 yards for a touchdown. The Coyotes scored five touchdowns rushing and four touchdowns passing. Two more touchdowns were scored off of interceptions by sophomore Brayden Kasten and senior Thomas Muldoon. Junior James Pease led the rushing attack with six carries for 87 yards and two touchdowns. Brayden Kasten was 5-for-5 passing for 82 yards and four touchdowns.
Creek Valley finishes their season at 3-and-5 while Potter-Dix moves to 8-and-0, and earns the number 1 seed and will host 16th seed Sioux County on Friday. Game time is listed at 5 p.m.
