It's been a wild year for the Lady Storm Volleyball team, starting the season with five straight losses, going through a few winning streaks, then another five match losing streak in October. But they start off the D2-11 Subdistrict Tournament on Monday against a familiar opponent that they had just beaten in the MAC Tournament last week.
Creek Valley is seeded number 4 and matches up against the number 5 seeded Potter-Dix Lady Coyotes in the first round of the Subdistrict Tournament on Monday, in Oshkosh. The two teams played a relatively tight match last Saturday, with the Lady Storm taking a 2-to-1 match victory. But the teams are very close in talent and experience, so the match could very well be determined by which team makes the least amount of errors, a facet that both teams have struggled with during the season.
The winner of the match will then have to face the powerhouse Garden County Eagles with a record of 23-and-6, which should be a very difficult task for either team. However, both teams look at their upcoming match as the most important match-up of the season, and will use it as measure of how far they have come, and for what work needs to be done moving forward.
