Matthew Shepard, a senior at Leyton High School, signed to run track with Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa.
Shepard plans on competing in both indoor and outdoor track seasons. He plans on competing in the 100 meter dash and the 4x100 meter relay. Shepard qualified for both of the these events in the NSAA State Meet last year.
Shepard also was a District Champion in the 100 meters with an 11.78. Shepard was a member of the Leyton 4x100 relay team which one a district title last year as well as earning four first place finishes.
