Creek Valley's Storm Track and Field teams traveled to Paxton on Thursday to compete against nine other teams at the Paxton High School Invitational. The boy's squad finished ninth on the day with 17 points, while the girls finished 10th, earning 14 points.
Outstanding performances for the boys included senior Lucas Trujillo placing second in the 800 Meters and fifth in the 100 Meters, senior Alexander Caraveo placing third in the 800 Meters and sixth in the 100 Meter. For the girls, junior Elizabeth Whiting placed third in the 300 Meter Hurdles and sixth in the 100 Meter Hurdles, while freshman Karsyn Burgman placed fifth in the 300 Meter Hurdles and fifth in the High Jump. The 4X100 Meter Relay team (Karsyn Burgman, Ella Whiting, Alexxa Fletcher, Elizabeth Whiting) placed fifth and the 4X800 Meter Relay team (Samantha Marin, Anna Speirs, Chloe Ningen, Ella Ningen) also placed fifth.
Storm athletes were next scheduled to compete at the Best in the West Classic in Scottsbluff on Tuesday, April 26.
