Delta Dawn When That Light Comes On

Week 32

August 17, 2022

The following words were written on the wall of an insane asylum:

The love of God is greater far than tongue or pen can ever tell.

It goes beyond the highest star and reaches to the lowest hell.

The guilty pair, bowed down with care God gave His Son to win.

His erring child He reconciled and pardoned from his sin.

Could we with ink the ocean fill and were the skies of parchment made.

Were every stalk on earth a quill and every man a scribe by trade.

To write the love of God above would drain the oceans dry;

Nor could the scroll contain the whole though stretched from sky to sky!

O love of God, how rich and pure!  How measureless and strong!

It shall forevermore endure the saints’ and angels’ song!

Jesus loved God’s Man so deeply that He set His face like flint to be the Warrior Who carried this out. “For we are His workmanship, created in Messiah Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand for us to walk in.”  Ephesians 2:1

Father created us like Himself: capable, intelligent and lovable.  He is not so concerned with who we are, but rather whose we are.  We are of the ‘I AM” family, the household of faith.  He lets you know you are His favorite!

Father’s rod measures the heart.  His staff (daily bread) is every word that proceeds from His mouth.  Psalm 23 and Luke 4.  He has given each of us, the measure of faith and shed His love abroad in our hearts.  What, then, keeps us in poverty, lack, bad health and poor relationships?  When we filter His love through satan’s traps of affliction, persecution, cares of this world, lust/offense and the deceitfulness of riches, our reasoning keeps us from true riches of the Kingdom.

Matthew 6 is clear.  We cannot serve God while entrapped by Mammon.  Love never fails in the Kingdom of God.  He does not look at how able we are.  He asks, “How available are you?”  He does not frown if we have money.  He is concerned if money has us, because the love of money is the root of all evil.  I Timothy 6:10.  God never examines money, He examines motives.   We will invest money where we measure success to be.  Will we spend it on our own lusts or use it to win souls, rebuild lives and/or equip the saints for victory? Matthew 6:24

God provides all our needs including money.  Will we trust Him to multiply it back to us?  Man cannot outgive God.  “The generous soul will be made rich, for he who waters will also be watered.” Proverbs 11:25   Our “Yes!” is what He listens for.  Give of your best to the Master: your heart, mind, strength, substance and manner of living. “Imitate God as dear children and walk in love as Messiah has loved us and given Himself for us.” Ephesians 5:1, 2
