Ron Pyeatt

Ron Pyeatt, age 87, of Sidney, NE, passed away on August 17, 2022 while at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. A Remembrance will be planned for later this year in Sidney, Nebraska. Memorials in his name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Nebraska Chapter, 8790 F Street, Suite 404, Omaha, NE. 68127.

He was born in Prairie Grove, Arkansas on November 21,1934 one of eight children of Henry Lee and Polly Minerva (Jones) Pyeatt. Ron graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1953. He served in the US Army for three years and was stationed in Verona, Italy which he enjoyed very much.  He then attended the University of Arkansas where he graduated with a degree in Marketing in 1962.  On August 8, 1981, he was Ron was united in marriage to Lucile Owen in Shoreline, Washington. Ron worked in sales for most of his career.

Ron loved golf and was an excellent golfer. He also enjoyed woodworking and gardening. The wonderful bird houses he made were special gifts to his friends and family.

Ron Pyeatt was a beloved husband, father and friend. He enriched the lives of his family and friends with his always friendly, outgoing personality and wonderful sense of humor. Ron’s jokes (both good and bad) were a daily part of his life. His friends said he never met a stranger; an acquaintance would instantly become a friend.  

Ron is survived by his loving wife Lucile Pyeatt, sons Ralph and Brian, stepchildren David and wife Anne Owen, Rebecca Sager, and Ed and wife Becky Owen and nine grandchildren.
