Storm Ends Season With Loss

Creek Valley's Storm Football team ended their season on Friday with a loss to Garden County in Oshkosh, 61-to-0.

The loss ends a winless season for the young Storm team, that was able to get young players working together and building for the future.

The 6-and-2 Eagles got the jump early on the Storm, scoring 35 points in the first quarter and another 12 in the second quarter to take a 47-to-0 lead into the half, and initiate the running clock.

The Eagles scored on a punt return, a blocked punt and return and a fumble for touchdowns in addition to rushing touchdowns. The swarming Eagles defense kept the Storm offense off-balance all game, and their offense continued the scoring in the second half.

Although winless, the Storm ends their season with their young players gaining experience and finding positions to excel in the future. Freshman quarterback Zander Polk showed a good arm and the ability to run the offense.

The Storm will hopefully return juniors Diego Caraveo and William Ogburn, and some talented younger players like WR/RB Mason Timm for next year's campaign.
