Shirley J. Miller

Shirley J. Miller, age 70, of Sidney, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022 at Sidney Regional Medical Center in Sidney, NE. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at the Peetz Community Church in Peetz, CO with Pastors Terry Krayenhagen, Jody Harless and Beverly Webb officiating. Cremation has taken place. Services will be live-streamed on the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel Facebook page and recorded for later viewing on our website. Inurnment will follow in the Peetz Cemetery.

Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Monday from 1-6:00 P.M. to sign Shirley's book.

Shirley Jean Miller was born in Sidney, NE on January 17, 1952 to Loren and Margaret (Andersen) Miller. She lived in Peetz, CO the majority of her life and recently moved to Sidney, NE. She touched so many lives in both towns. After graduating from Peetz High School, Shirley sold Avon and Watkins for many years and enjoyed making the deliveries to her friends and neighbors. She was very involved with the church, enjoyed attending the school sports and activities and was a lifelong member of the Legion Auxiliary (68 years). She enjoyed crafts, puzzles, playing cards and board games and was an avid reader. She is a one of a kind gem and will be missed greatly by so many.

She is survived by her sister Linda Martin, nieces Michelle Trevino, Celeste Trevino and great-nephews Brandon Trevino and William McGaha.

Shirley is preceded in death by her grandmother Christine Andersen, mother Margaret Miller, father Loren Miller and brother John Allen Miller.
