The King's Daughters organization has a 132-year history of selfless service to the charitable needs of Cheyenne County. The Sidney Wide Awake Circle of King's Daughters was founded in 1891 by military wives of Ft. Sidney soldiers. Here members of the King's Daughters prepare for a shipment of food and other supplies to be delivered, and staged them for distribution at the Shelter House at Legion Park.

Adams Industries was key to the success of this project, providing the trailer to deliver the supplies to the staging area at Legion Park. Here one of the Adams' workers helps unload the trailer, giving the boxes to King's Daughters members. December is a busy month for King's Daughters. Treat bags and cookie trays are delivered to shut- ins, elderly individuals, Western Heritage residents, OHD residents and those in the community who could use a little cheer.
