Creek Valley senior Elizabeth Whiting battles for a rebound during recent action. The Lady Storm picked up their first win of the year against Banner County on Saturday.
On Saturday January 14, the Creek Valley Lady Storm secured their first win of the season, grinding out a fourth quarter rally to pull away from the winless Banner County Lady Wildcats 48-to-37.
This was a close game until the fourth quarter, with Banner County holding a 22-to-20 lead at the half. A tough defensive third quarter had Creek Valley take a two point lead at 28-to-26 at the end of the third quarter, and then the Lady Storm got into a scoring groove in the fourth quarter, knocking down 20 points in the quarter to take the 48-to-37 victory.
